Game of Thrones fans got a very big surprise this morning with the first full trailer for the fantasy series' eighth and final season, which airs on HBO next month. And it's pretty awesome. The bad guys also have their own dragon after the season 7 finale, and that's sure to make things even more interesting for everyone.
HBO has a huge year ahead, with the end of Game of Thrones ushering in a new era for the cable network.
Finally: For those of you who know this show better than you know some of your distant relatives, what theories are you willing to put out there about how the HBO drama's last six episodes will unfold?
Some, but definitely not all, of the characters involved are Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie). To prepare, Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya, had to begin training one year before filming began Williams told Entertainment Weekly, "I skip the battle every year, which is weird since Arya's the one who's been training the most". Our enemy doesn't tire, doesn't stop, doesn't feel'.
The trailer also appears to allude to a change in heart for some of the Lannisters, who seem to be considering joining the uprising against the White Walkers.
Who'll survive the Night King's advances? There are six episodes in Season 8 and it has been speculated that each could run well over 60 minutes.
But as he repeats his vow, the footage is cut with his sister and sometime lover, Lena Headey's Cersei Lannister smirking to herself as she sips from a glass of red wine in the throne room at Kings Landing.
In terms of the trailer above, we see most of the main characters staking out their ground for the battle to come.
John Rocha and Perri Nemiroff sit down to watch this trailer for the first time and give you their reaction to it.
