Mavs trade Harrison Barnes mid-game, get bashed by LeBron

On Barnes' trade to the Kings, Mavericks head coach Rick Carlise addressed the deal post-game.

"I'm ok with both honestly, truly am". Hours after dealing Iman Shumpert away as part of a three-team deal, the Kings went out and acquired Harrison Barnes from the Dallas Mavericks, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Of course, Barnes wasn't actually traded during the game.

The Mavericks informed Barnes and his agent, Jeff Schwartz, that a trade might be in the works, but the forward made a decision to play against Charlotte anyway, according to former Boston Celtics great Paul Pierce and the New York Times' Marc Stein.

LeBron James isn't afraid to speak his mind, but there are many criticizing the superstar for the opinion he shared on his latest Instagram post'. "He's obviously got bonds with some of these players here for life, and that's the kind of guy that he is".

"We're going to miss him". A great influence on the team, also in this community.

The Kings want to make a long-term play to keep Barnes, who has a player option on his $25 million deal for the 2019-20 season, sources told ESPN.

If you thought the Los Angeles Clippers trading Tobias Harris right after he had made a game winning shot (they did the same thing past year right after Blake Griffin had scored the game winner), was the peak of ruthless National Basketball Association business, then Dallas Mavericks might have just topped it. The two-time NBA All-Star (2010 & 2013) also won Most Improved Player Award honors in 2003-04 after raising his scoring average by almost 12 points per game. Sacramento entered Wednesday a game out of the final playoff spot in the West.

Randolph has yet to play this 2018-19 season after seeing a stint as a reserve during his first season with the Kings.

After the deals, Sacramento won't have a player on its roster over the age of 30.

Barnes is no sure bet to opt-in next season.
