A source close to the situation stated that these preconditions weren't enforced on any of the other performers - like Cardi B, Shawn Mendes and Miley Cyrus.

Sources have reportedly revealed that singer Ariana Grande will neither be performing at the show, nor even attending it.

Variety reports that Grande sought to perform "7 rings", the latest single from her new album, thank, u next.

However, Grande was then said to have pulled out altogether after producers insisted "the second song be of their choosing".

Variety says they instead, 'offered her a spot during the show's Tom Petty tribute'.

Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift are reportedly planning to skip the Grammy Awards on Sunday. On Friday, she'll release her new album thank u, next. We all know how rigged these award ceremonies are so since she now has major beef with the powers that be, it's doubtful that she'll be taking out any awards but good on her for refusing to bow down to their bullying antics.

7 Rings was played a record 15 million times in its first 24 hours on the music streaming service Spotify.

ET Canada have reached out to Grande's rep and a Grammys spokesperson for comment.

Grande, who was named Billboard's woman of the year last year, is up for two Grammys including "Best Pop Vocal Performance" for last year's "God Is A Woman" and Best Pop Vocal Album for "Sweetener" which was released last summer.

'I do not want to do what people tell me to do, I do not want to conform to the pop star agenda.
