Chelsea saw their unbeaten start to the new campaign come to an abrupt end with a 3-1 defeat at Tottenham last weekend so Maurizio Sarri has demanded a response from this players on Sunday.

Despite a fine showing from Callum Hudson-Odoi in Chelsea's 4-0 win over PAOK in the Europa League on Thursday, Maurizio Sarri squashed any ideas he might start this weekend.

The Italian suggested Hudson-Odoi benefited from the early dismissal of Yevhen Khacheridi, for a professional foul on Giroud, which provided Chelsea with more space to exploit, but is not yet ready for the rigours of the Premier League.

He will undoubtedly be swayed by the likes of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson, who left Manchester City and Arsenal permanently and have prospered in the Bundesliga and in Europe this season.

But despite being impressed with the youngster's performance, Sarri wasn't getting carried away.

"I think he played very well, but the type of match was for his characteristics".

After collecting a pass from Cesc Fabregas, Hudson-Odoi took a number of touches to wriggle his way into the box, before unleashing a low drive into the far corner.

"He is a good player with a high quality, but I want more from him", Ranieri said.

At youth level, he won two FA Youth Cups and the U-18 Premier League, as well as a World Cup for England at U-17 level.

"And we have to try to make very good balls for him".

As reported by the London Evening Standard, the Spanish midfielder has revealed that he is ready to turn down interest from Milan, providing more game time is in the offing at Stamford Bridge. "I am very happy with this because, in the last three matches, we had big problems to get into the match". Before the match we knew were in the first of the group after the BATE result, so it wasn't easy to find a big motivation.
