The film is anyways making money in the South languages and if Hindi version supports well too then recovery of the huge budget won't be an issue.
The sci-fi drama will see Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. In the midst of all this, Akshay Kumar drops a promo which vaguely suggests there could be a sequel to 2.0 which will be called 3.0.
The Hindi version of S.Shankar directorial managed to rake in a total of Rs 18 crore at the ticket windows.
‘2.0’ records two-day box office collections of Rs 109 crore

Overseas too, the film that marks the debut of Akshay Kumar in South has also performed well overseas and has raked in almost Rs 2 crore in the US, Rs 58 lakhs in Australia and over Rs 11 lakhs in New Zealand.

While one was expecting the collections to rise up on the following day, on the contrary, the Box Office collections of 2.0 (Hindi) witnessed a decline on the second day of its release. The record for the highest opening day collection of Rs 121 crore still remains with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
