Golden State's Steph Curry led Under Armour to make a huge change to their footwear website after receiving a letter from a nine-year-old girl.

Furthermore, Riley will not only receive a pair of Curry 5's and Curry 6's for her efforts, but the basketball star issued a mysterious invitation to join him in Oakland for a special event on International Women's Day. "I am a big fan of yours", the letter began.

Adding to the intrigue is Kevin Durant has been on fire for the Warriors lately with an average of 41.7 points in his last three games, including a 49-point showing against the Orlando Magic in his last outing. My dad and I visited the Under Armour website and were disappointed to see that there were no Curry 5's for sale under the girls section.

The contest fell during the NBA's tribute to legendary basketball sideline reporter and personality Craig Sager, who lost his battle with cancer almost two years ago.

"I know you support girl athletes because you have two daughters and you host an all girls basketball camp", said Riley in a post from her dad shared on social media. The home team played down the possibility of a finals preview heading into the 131-128 win, but the electric atmosphere at Scotiabank Arena told another story - no matter that the visitors were without Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Alfonzo McKinnie because of injuries.

Curry, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, got off to a strong start this season as the Warriors launched their bid for a third straight NBA title.

Curry was quick to respond, saying "We are correcting this now!"

The heartfelt handwritten letter, which has since gone viral, was met with a handwritten response from the Warriors star himself, who claimed the lack of women's sizes was due to a mis-labeling in the official Under Armour website, where she originally meant to purchase it from. It was the first time since 2014 that Raptors defeated the Warriors, snapping an eight-game losing streak in the series.

He penned his handwritten letter to Riley and tweeted his reply.

"I want to make sure you can wear my kicks proudly - so I am going to send you a pair of Curry 5's now and you'll be one of the first kids to get the Curry 6".

Can't miss first: The Raptors led by as many as 18 points in the first quarter, their biggest advantage of the night, and were up 38-25 after 12 minutes.

Curry has been outspoken about equal opportunities for women in the past.
