Red Dead Online Beta Release Date & Time Announced, Access Being Granted in Waves
Rockstar has had massive success with Grand Theft Auto Online, and I imagine Red Dead Online will be no different. To be fair, it's not a model where you have to pay to make any meaningful advancement, but there's enough tempting stuff where the online currency might be worth it.
It's likely that Red Dead Redemption Online will follow a similar path; money-based and indicator-based progression is something that worked quite well with GTA Online, and they may take the form of better quality horses, or perhaps homesteads, in RDR Online. We are going to let you know how many players there are in a session. There will be multiple missions available to play either solo, co-op or competitively, and you should expect these to be given to you by a few familiar faces from Red Dead Redemption 2. Is it roughly the same as GTA Online or more or even less? Players will be able to hunt, fish, join Posses of up to eight players, and engage in gang fights with other players in PvP events. For a single session online, there can be up to 32 players playing together.
