We have heard that Disney is not considering moving Luke Cage to the upcoming Disney Play service for a third season.

The series' second season soundtrack treated hip-hop fans to new music from rap icon Rakim.

Last week, Iron Fist was canned on the same day Season 3 of Daredevil debuted.

New data found by Crimson Hexagon and released by Business Insider suggests that interest in Marvel's Netflix Originals has been flagging on social media.

The Hollywood Reporter shared its reasoning for why Luke Cage was canned this past weekend. Luke Cage while a part of the Marvel universe and aimed to entertain also helped depict black men in a positive light.

Axing Luke Cage, however, was a total surprise. Antonique Smith, who starred as Detective Nandi Tyler in Luke Cage, added, "She's attractive!"

"A lot memories", he tweeted. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem's Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series. It is unclear if those creative differences were between the showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker and Netflix, or between Netflix and Marvel.

Colter posted a photo with his daughter to Twitter and wrote, "I am forever grateful to Marvel and Netflix for letting me portray such a prolific character, and I thank you unbelievable fans". "Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners".

Canceling Iron Fist and Luke Cage within a week is quite odd. Are you down with a Heroes for Hire series? The outlet notes that things went "distinctly south" around Wednesday, October 17 - just 48 hours before the streamer canceled the show.

Luke Cage's cancellation came a week after Netflix ended another Marvel show after two seasons, Iron Fist. But more immediately, fans are anxious that Daredevil, which kicked off its third season last Friday, will be the streaming platform's next superhero series to get the ax. If you're like me you're anxiously waiting for the executioner to drop the guillotine down onto another Marvel show.
