The wedding comes six months after the Bush clan bade farewell to matriarch and namesake Barbara Bush, but the younger Bush says "the "something borrowed" that I'm wearing is this bracelet that my grandfather gave to my grandmother on their 70th anniversary".

"Barbara is named for a unique and strong woman - and rightly so, because she is unique and strong".

Barbara Bush's twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, shared details of the weekend nuptials on "Today" show Monday morning.

Former president George H.W. Bush and his granddaughter Barbara Bush at her October 7 wedding. It was just like her: "private (only family!) and full of love (and yes lots of tears!)", Bush's twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, captioned a photo. "And we're thrilled to welcome Craig Coyne to our family".

"The bride wore an ivory silk crepe Vera Wang custom gown and was escorted by her father and grandfather". Bush told the magazine that Coyne proposed in Kennebunkport over the summer, in the same spot where George H.W. Bush had proposed to Barbara Bush 75 years prior.

Bush's "something blue" was a pair of earrings from sister Jenna Bush Hager.

The couple - who were set up by friends on a blind date last November - was very discreet during their brief romance, having never even been photographed together at events.

Coyne, a Georgia native, is also an actor, and has appeared in movies like "Jarhead" and independent films such as "Look at Me" and "The Snowtown Murders".

"I just told her and everybody how much she means to me".

The newlyweds will live in New York City, according to the Bush family statement. "And we've been long-distance for most of it - he's been in LA and I've been in NY - but we've gotten to spend a lot of time together".
