Eleven family members found murdered in New Delhi.

In a shocking incident, at least 11 people were found dead at a house in New Delhi's Burari area today morning. The police have reached the spot and an investigation is now underway. Initial reports said the police were suspecting it to be a case of suicide.

Seven of the victims are women and four are men.

"Some of them were found hanging from an iron grill ceiling while others were lying on the floor blindfolded with their hands and legs tied up", the police officer said.

"Bodies of 7 women and 4 men including three teenagers have been found".

The family ran a grocery business out of their house in Burari.

Some of the bodies recovered were found hanging, while some were blindfolded.

The family was living in the house for more than two decades, Hindustan Times newspaper reported. Neighbours said that everything was fine in the family till Saturday evening.

In a video posted by the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the neighbours are heard telling Mr Kejriwal that the family was busy with wedding preparations and were looking forward to it.

He then rushed downstairs and called the police. "It is an ongoing investigation and we haven't ruled out anything".
