The website analyzed Amazon's deals on Black Friday and Prime Day and found that in 2016, 77% of Prime Day prices were better than comparable deals offered on Black Friday. Mark your calendars, friends, because as per the banner Amazon posted to its United Kingdom website on Thursday, Prime Day will be July 16.
Amazon Prime Day 2018 will take place on Tuesday July 17th with deals starting at midday the day before - Monday 16th.

The ad, spotted by TechRadar, notes that the event will last some 36 hours, which would be the longest Prime Day since the event's launch two years ago. But the official start and end times of Prime Day 2018 have yet to be released.
In terms of what deals to expect, you can certainly count on an Amazon Prime subscription drive in the days or weeks leading up to Prime Day 2018. The Amazon Prime Video and Music services were added later as a value addition, and did not require additional fees or subscriptions over and above the basic Prime subscription. The day apparently also brought "tens of millions" of new Prime members to Amazon, which represents quite a bit of extra revenue for the company. After all, Prime Day turned out to be a monster sales event for the online retailer, at least as big as Black Friday when it comes to overall success.
The 2017 event lasted for 30 hours and was open to shoppers in 13 countries. Though they've been involved in the sales event since its inception in 2015, Marketplace retailers could offer consumers some of the biggest deals and discounts of the sale.
