Ambien in response to Roseanne: 'Racism is not a known side effect'

Roseanne Barr "begged" ABC to not cancel her sitcom.

She also insinuated she was a victim in this situation, tweeting, "I think I spent the last 24 hours watching the party of inclusion, diversity, understanding, and acceptance, lynch a Jew".

After her firing, Barr said she was leaving Twitter, but has continued making several statements, including one where she blamed the sleep aid Ambien for the tweets that resulted in the show's cancellation.

Mr Trump targeted Robert Iger on Twitter, saying: "Iger, where is my call of apology?"

Barr has since deleted the tweet.

After she sent the tweets about Jarrett on Tuesday, she said she was quitting social media then, too.

Barr also retweeted a Twitter user's response to a claim that "ABC President Channing Dungey had a long conversation via phone with former First Lady Michelle Obama before deciding to cancel the Roseanne show".

She added: "Please don't start all of that boycott abc stuff-I'm not a censor and they have the right to do what they wish". He scoffed & said: "what u have done is egregious, and unforgivable.' I begged 4 my crews jobs. I mean, you were already racist but maybe Ambien made it worse?"

Roseanne Barr has been widely criticised for a tweet she posted to Valeri Jarret, a former White House advisor for Barack Obama.

Interestingly, some of the show's writers will be sticking around ABC, as noted by executive producer Dave Caplan, who told reporters that he and Roseanne executive producers Bruce Helford and Bruce Rasmussen have other plans.

The President of the Marion Community Schools' board has apologized for a Facebook post expressing support for actress Roseanne Barr. "I was personally horrified and saddened by the comments and in no way do they reflect the values of the people who worked so hard to make this the iconic show that it is". But much of its progress would have been threatened if it looked the other way at Barr's tweet.

Later, Barr denied that she was putting the blame on Ambien, saying it was "just an explanation not an excuse".

"I don't know anything about it".

Barr deleted her Twitter account soon after. "The president is pointing to the hypocrisy in the media", she said. And where was the apology from Bob Iger for ESPN hiring Keith Olbermann after his numerous expletive-laced tweets attacking the president as a Nazi and even expanding Olbermann's role after that attack against the president's family?
